A great day at the Goodwood Revival Friday with a good showing of Fulvias, the last picture is gentleman and his original one owner car driven over from Portugal.

I wonder if anyone goes just for the car park and saves themselves the ticket?

Yes, a huge car park for historics, which is now open to all tax exempt cars, rather than pre 1960-whatever it was.

The Lancia that caught my eye yesterday (apart from the D50 that caught my ears too!) was this superb Italian registered Flavia Sport Zagato, an early 1500 cc car. A discreet information plate on the rear shelf gave its serial number as 24950.

It was for up to 1966 but so many kit cars, look alikes and Nissan figaro's were getting into the classic parking, it was changed to tax exempt vehicles.
Not sure if you can get in to the Classic car bit without having bought a ticket to the event, as you are issued with a sticker for the Classic parking that is only available from Goodwood, if you turn up without the correct sticker you'll be sent to general parking.

I missed this year but from memory it would be possible to drive to the general parking then walk to what was the pre 66 (I can see the merit in a switch to tax free) car park to spend the day.  Previous years lots of trade stands that side of the road and a fair selection of historic busses.  Just that would beat plenty of other events.  You'd also see the airshow from there.

david I quite agree you would probably be able to park in the general car parking and walk , but I thought the object would be to get your classic in the Tax Exempt parking?
