I would like to pull together some form of register for the Flavia Sport, much like the one Roddy Young has done based on Peter Pompelli's original work. Ideally a chassis No and brief history of the car, the information would help determine; 1. How many cars were really built 2. How many are left 3. Help share info on the cars
If anyone would like to share the info on their cars with me that would be great and I could start something off. I would not make any of the info public or shareable without explicit permision.
Thanks,

Hello Phil
The original Register compiled by Peter had two appendices :- "Fulvia Sports not in the Register" and "List of known Flavia Sports". The Fulvia one formed the original basis of the records that I now maintain.
If you wish I can scan the sheets for Flavia (5 sheets A5) and Email them to you. Over the years I have made some manuscript amendments to them, so they would not be suitable as a primary record, but for extracting the information, etc.
Regards - Roddy

I have now compiled my first draft. Going through previous list etc and sales that I have noted I have around 60 cars listed. I am begining to think that a lot less than 600 odd made in the first place. Any more info gladly received.

I've been lucky enough to own 3 of these fabulous cars, the following may help:
PGY 7E - a late silver fully restored 1.8 RHD car which was sadly written off in 2000 after a bad accident (she was my daily driver)
PRX 31B - a 1.8 left hooker in mendoza blue, original car sold by me early 1990s and now I believe in Japan
XXX - an early 1.8 right hooker in Lancia blue over cream interior, can't recall the number now but I bought it from a guy in Haywards Heath who unfortuately died shortly thereafter; I'll try and find a pic with the registration number somewhere. 1988ish

Clive, would your other Flavia Sport have been the one owned by Miff Cook?

and a couple of photos of some I used to own. PHM 8E went to Australia CYM 2C was the ex-AutoCar test car. I believe it is currently owned by Omicron and is still in the same condition as when I owned it about 25 years ago. Would be a nice car to restore! http://omicron.uk.com/php/phpclassifieds/flavia-sport-autocar-road-test-car/

Yes, I believe it was his but the number does not ring a bell (and it never had that additional badge on the bonnet either). I smoked it around for a year or so and sold it to Richard Banks, the Alfafanatics chap who bought it on behalf of a customer of his at the time. It was the best driving of the 3 Flavia Sports, and the only one which had perfect door glass shut when the glass was up - the others caught fractionally on the leading edge. The Sports are tougher than they look too - PGY 7E was T boned by a BM doing 50ish mph, it ended up a bit banana shaped but I had not a scratch on me. I'll scan the snaps and upload soon. Clive

That's a shame to hear about the demise of PGY 7E, the last time I saw it was in the mid-eighties when it belonged to a car collector near Edinburgh. He had loads of Lancias some which were wrecks and some that were excellent low mileage cars, but all were poorly stored. Photo of PGY next to a 2.8 Flaminia Touring RHD with a couple of Citroens in the foreground.

Thanks for all that, a real flurry of info. I had all those cars but the notes about them are invaluable for filling in gaps in history. Any more info, just keep it comming.

Wow - great pic. I bought the car from a gay couple in London who had had it bodily restored by Omicron - it was a very sharp looking car, with beautiful paint. I remember they told me after they bought the car - maybe from this Scottish collection - and then went on holiday in it when a tyre punctured. Went to jack it up - you can guess the rest. Enter the open cheque book structural and body restoration - from memory 50 grands worth of receipts (and that was 20 years ago). Had a PF coupe engine in it I recall, and didn't go as well as the other two examples, but boy the body was good!
