The Roger Albert Clark Rally begins on Friday around 16.00 at Duncombe Park near Pickering. Both Steve Perez in his Stratos and the Graham brothers in the red Fulvia are entered. This is a very tough stage rally finishing in Carlisle on Monday afternoon. Full spectator details at www.retro-speed.co.uk

just to add a bit

Scrutineering starts from 12.00 and continues until 17:00 including the Support Events at Duncombe Park on friday, then over to croft and hamsterly forest on the saturday before making it's way over to carlisle.
croft is cold at the best of times so will be bitterly cold and very dark so bring a torch as the majority of this one time old airfield is unlit.

After day one Steve Perez is in fifteenth place in the Stratos while the Graham brothers are twenty ninth. Still a long way to go with Gwyndaf Evan leading tomorrow will be a real test, taking in most of the old RAC North Yorkshire stages.

at the end of day two Escorts fill fourteen of the top fifteen positions with Steve Perez still going strong in the Stratos, just a few seconds behind twelfth man. the Fulvia of the Graham brothers had a rough landing in Gale Rigg distorting the subframe and pushing the radiator out of place. Also the alternator pulley disintegrated. They have missed two stages for repairs but hope to be back this morning (Sunday). With two days to go thirty seven cars remain out of fifty four with Gwnydaf Evans holding a two minute lead.

Okay. It's been another tough day in the forests with a heavy fall of snow making things particularly difficult this morning. Good news is that with two stages still  left tomorrow Steve Perez has made up five places and is now in tenth place with a good chance of a last minute improvement. The Graham brothers had clutch failure this morning but the service crew fixed it in under three hours so they are currently fifth in the 'historic' category. Gwyndaf Evans is enjoying a five minute overall lead over second place David Stokes the current uk champion so unless struck down by misfortune he should be first across the line in Carlisle tomorrow lunchtime.

The Steve Perez Stratos finished a fantastic eighth overall with Steve retiring straight to bed, having returned back to the UK last Thursday, directly after finishing sixth on the East African Safari. The Graham brothers survived a spin on the last stage to finish a great twenty sixth overall. I will post some pics tomorrow. it was also nice to meet Stuart Wilson in Carlisle. A very difficult rally with lots of snow. in fact, just like the old RAC Rally!

I really love that one of the Fulvia through the water splash.  Do you shoot 30 frames a second or "just" great timing to catch it?

Timing really, it was about the twelfth car through so time to practice.

I'm surprised at the lack of image views on this thread. I wonder if I have made an uploading mistake somewhere?

Peter, it may be that they are of a good size when viewing, certainly they are on a laptop, so do not need opening to view.

If you go back to the index page the THREAD has had 237 views.

I'm not clicking to enlarge either.  For me they show really well as part of the message.
