As a small addition to the above, a couple of us in the Cambridgeshire meet have been discussing a drive on the day before. Designed to be of interest to those who are local and also those who are contemplating travel to this from further away and arriving on the Saturday. There are some lovely driving roads in the area and we have scoped out a potential route. Very much an informal affair that would start at a pub or similiar late morning and finish up close the venue for Sunday in the late afternoon with suggested stops for lunch. If anyone is interested let me know

Rodders

I am a bit confused? Is you drive going to run in parallel with the event as the Car Day is a Lancia Marque event and I know folks close to the organiser are trying to get a mega turn out (of Lancias)....

Am all in favour of runs out and around Cambs Bed area and would join in but not if they clash with another???

Kind regards

Tim

Brilliant day at Sharnbrook! Well done Brian for getting a great selection of Lancias in pole position in front of the hotel entrance as featured marque. Lots of other fantastic Italian cars and bikes eye candy and with the weather turning into a warm sunny day it was a real festival!

A Great day was had by all at the Bedfordshire Italian Car & Bike day, after ther past few days of watching dismal weather forecasts the weather turned good on the day.
Many thanks to all the owners who came from near and far, to give everyone the pleasure of seeing Lancias that many would not have seen before.
Altogether there were around 28 Lancia, a goodly number for any event, ranging from the oldest, Tim Burrett's B22 ( the car I'd love to have taken home), to Gerard Thorps' lovely 2 tone Ypsilon, with more or less some of everything else in between.
AS is usual wherever Lancia are present one was being fettled, Robert Henry's Flaminia was a very welcome last minute addition, as up to Saturday night when I received his call I'd been unable to locate a Flaminia, after cleaning a sooty plug as was well.
more photos to follow.

Sorry I missed this one - I ended up spending the day putting up a 14ft trampoline and pulling numerous muscles.  I know what I would rather have been doing!
