The cars are waiting in Monaco ready to depart for the three sections in the mountains above the Principality that make up the traditional final loop, including the famous Col du Turini. Sixty four cars have officially retired but the Fulvia of the Graham brothers continues and is currently just outside the top fifty. They have been on studded tyres all day. First car is due back on the harbour side at 02.00hrs in the morning

Commiserations to Steve and Tony Graham who failed to finish the Rallye. They had been suffering a misfire all day and half an hour from Monaco while driving the last section the engine coughed back and a small fire broke out. Rallying can be a hard sport and to retire after six days can only be described as very disappointing.

Andrew McAlpine finished 140th overall, 3rd Brit in the race and 5th in class.

Apparently Sandro Munari did not compete owing to the death of Mario Manucci before Christmas but attended the dinner.
