Hi everyone,
After 9 months of advertising, taking phone calls & sending emails I have finally sold my Dedra 1.8 se
. Don't get me wrong I have loved driving around in her over the last year but I thought she'd sell a bit quicker than that. Maybe the recession hasn't helped but she was in such great condition I thought I would be snowed under with interest
. OK maybe not snowed under but at least a couple of flakes
. One setback I had was when the windscreen got chipped form a small flying stone, trying to get the windscreen replaced took 2 months! I've spoke to some 'Characters' in the time I've been selling the car. One guy who rang sounded just like Rabbsy Nessbit & was as drunk as a skunk! I had another man from London who said he was coming down to see the car after weeks of phone calls & emails, we stayed in all day waiting for him but he never turned up which was really annoying
. All of the people who contacted me about the car were Lancia fanciers apart from the guy who actually bought her. He bought the Dedra because likes cars that are unusual, that you don't see very often & you certainly don't see Dedras on our roads very often! I've told him about our club & the Thema & Dedra Consortium & he seems interested. To anyone out there trying to sell one of Lancias less popular models my heart goes out to you & one thing you'll definately need is a lot of patience
.
Cheers, Rob
