How did you guess!  I don't know where she got that idea from - her Scottish roots were in the Dumfries/Wigtown area. - she did have red hair though!

Jack Romano has asked me to post to say that as he has now made contact with WL Stewart's granddaughters he will probably be able to get all the information that he needs and to thank anyone who has contributed on this thread.
