For 2013 we are going to try a new location for the Aurelia lunch on Sunday 28th April, it will be held at Elcot Park Hotel which is very easy to find, just off the A4 halfway between Hungerford and Newbury.
See http://www.mercure.com/gb/hotel-8330-mercure-newbury-elcot-park-hotel/index.shtml
More details and menus later.

Last call for entries.  There are still a few places left, but please be quick as I have to give the hotel final numbers next week.

A good turn out of fifteen Aurelias and 43 people for todays lunch, with a varied selection of cars including Ron Francis' B50 Vignale coupe that has never been seen in public before!

Looks good! - sorry we couldn't be with you, but we were on the Welsh Rally in North Wales, along with Brian Hands' B10 saloon and quite a few other Lancias. The diary is looking busy this year!

No, but the car is on our database - you should be able to look up the owner and get in touch

Lovely pictures though Smiley

Looks like a really great day with a couple of cars I havent seen on the road before - Jacky and I were very sorry to miss it but there is so much on this year! In our village here in NE Italy there was a historic regularity rally yesterday with a predominance of Fulvia Coupe's passing through. Lovely to hear that exhaust note with hard acceleration so often in the afternoon.
We both drive 911's and it is 50 years of the 911 this year as well so total overload of motoring events in 2013.

These are a few more pictures of the B50 Vignale. It was originally registered in Torino, but was later taken to Sweden by a football coach. It is thought that it was a two tone red and black when new and would have had the deep style bumpers of many Vignale cars of the time. It has a Nardi twin carb B10 engine.

If I remember what correctly what Ron told me a few years ago, the first owner was...

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Frank_Soo

A fascinating character in his own right.  Soo's life shows that the international nature of football management today is not a new thing.

Nice car too!
