Interested in your definition. Surely the Flamina precedes the 'modern era' being commissioned by Gianni Lancia to replace the Aurelia? Although produced during the Pesenti era it wasn't a Fessia design (and not front wheel drive like it's stable mates).

Always kind off makes it the last of the 'old' Lancias in my mind?

I can see that, but it didn't have sliding pillars so that kind of makes the Appia the last of the 'old' Lancias.  Beautiful engineering though - Lancia at it's best.

Hadn't thought of the sliding pillars, design wise it probably stands alone and could be the first of the 'new'.
