The colour looks to be non standard navy blue, if it sold for somewhere near its guide price it would be a large step-up in Spider values. I think this is the car that Paul Guttman had restored in the nineties, can anyone confirm this? With you on that one Ade. What a wonderful project to buy and maybe not too much corrosion either so minimal new metal.
For me, I dont like over restored cars - after all they are just a car - so this would be ideal. An I love the turn of phrase in the blurb about 'what was ordinary originally and then becomes rare....is still ordinary etc etc.....'.
Would you care to guess what price this will go for? What did the similar condition B24S Convertible project sold recently in the States go for?

Also it would reflect well on the restorer and previous owner if they both got it right Partly because other "exotica"...whilst lacking both style and cutting edge engineering are worth so much more because of name or engine size!! What a shame that RM rather spoiled the overall effect by claiming that a B20 won the 1951 Mille Miglia. Ooops.  |
