Fulvia Fuse Ratings
«

Can anybody please confirm the correct fuse ratings for a S2 Fulvia Coupé. My Instruction book says 8 off 16 Amp (yellow) and 1 off 30 Amp (red) in the fuse box , plus 3 off separate in-line 16 Amp fuses located in various places for radiator fan motor, feed to inner headlamps and cigarette lighter.
I do not have a Hazard Warning system fitted.
Reading Mike Matthews very informative article in Lancia Journal of Summer 1988 he says the fuses should be 8 off 8 Amp (green) and 1 off 16 Amp RED ? He doesn't mention the rating of the in-line fuses fitted to my car.
I see that all the red fuses for sale on e-bay are rated at 25 Amps.
Regards
Tim

Hi Tim
all my red ones are 16A!!! bought locally ( I wanted black or white for 16 A but could not find any). I think the book is correct and would advise fitting all 16A with a spare of around 30A. If one goes (most likely no9) then replace with 30A). I dont know of a definitive location for the higher rated.....

Hello Tim(s)
Nobody does know the position of the 30 amp fuse in the row! Martin Cliffe's view was that it should be the fuse that provides the ignition / coil current. You wouldn't want that to fuse in the middle of an overtaking manoeuvre, would you? The reasoning works for me........

I was looking in my Fulvia 3 handbook as the my original S2 is in Italian, states eight green 16A fuses and one black 30A, but not where the 30A is positioned except to look on the fuse box cover.
