Very nice ! Look forward to seeing it all fitted. Do you have a compression tool for the rear spring or will you put 5 friends on the back seat ?
Interested to see you have polished the drums, I am tempted to paint mine black to dissipate heat. How were they originally finished - do you know? However, they certainly look better polished !

They were painted originally overall with very ugly black paint. It was a lot of work to bring those drums to such one look I will manufacture compression tool for rear spring later - i have some photos and drawings. Regards

Maciek, what did you use equipment/material wise, how long did it take to get drums like that?

Each drum was soak in nitro solvent for approx. 24 hours. After soaking was clean with hand and electrical wire brushes with few gradation - from very rough to fine. Therefore is better to call my drums brushed rather polished. I was brushed each drum around 3 hours to have this finish. Thanks this job i was discover, that one of front drums was broken - scratch was very delicate and with poor visibility but after cleaning and brushing i was marked this. Fortunately i had spare drum.

Drums originally matt black from Lambda on, following tests in the Alps, better heat dissipation.
LMC used to have an ex Lancia England spring stretcher, dont know if it is still around, worth asking.

Certainly wasn't amongst the LMC tools when I took them over. Brian 8227

Is Bens suitable for an Aurelia? So did the club have one of these tools or what happened it?
Plus the LMC doesn't and never had tools for the Aurelia range (when I see tools listed in the back of VL)?

This is the spring compressor we have down here in Melbourne, works well, just go slowly! Also does the Fulvia front spring. There was an original factory one on eBay a few years back, don't know what happened to it though. Maciek your work so far looks excellent, let's hope those diff seals work!! Noel

how were the splines in your torsion bars?.they are often worn and welded in place. I also have a persistent leak from the diff that drips out of the bearing just visible under the propshaft connection on the photo below.I'm not sure with it on the car how easy this is to get apart to replace?
