As I don't know much about very early Lancias, does anyone have info on a 'Lampo' which is in this article http://fordbarn.com/forum/showthread.php?t=90803

Richard

can't see "lampo" in the thread, great picture of either an Alpha or a Beta corsa.

Thanks for the reply Don. Also at http://theoldmotor.com/?p=64781# David Greenless comments, Cuneo is listed as driving "Hillards Lancia "Lampo" in which the driver won The Light Car Race at Savannah". It may have been a name the driver or Lancia gave to this model of Lancia racing car also newspaper from around that time

Popular Science May 1927-The Most Popular Sport, "Hartz, somehow, brings back. To memory such magnetic speed demons as the Blitzen Benz, the Bullets. Of various sorts, and the spectacular Lampo or "Ray of Light" that the Italian, Lancia, had painted the color of the rising sun"

The only reference that I have to a "LAMPO" model is from a USA Hol Tan sales leaflet "The Lancia Car built by the man who knows", probably issued by them in 1908 which mentions a  'Roadster "LAMPO" Type. Price: $3,300' on page 2 as the caption to the illustration of a two seater roadster with wings (look like canvas to me), gas? sidelamps but no headlights and a bulb horn.  It is impossible to see the rear suspension so I cannot confirm if it is a Corsa type (with half elliptic rear springs) or longer wheelbase with three quarter eliptic rear suspension, however it looks too long a wheelbase for a 'Corsa' to me.
Any other information gratefully received.
