Not sure but many thanks for the replies, glad I mentioned it, and glad it's still around. An interesting book anyhow for under a quid at Oxfam, Maidstone. Also from the book a pic of a bypass designed of course to rid medieval towns of traffic, and generate new growth along such roads, which then became as congested as the originals. The photo is just down the road from the infamous incident invoving the supercharged Lancia and I suppose from around the same time

This was the car owned for many years by Rodney Wilkinson. Photo below is from the Covent Garden do in 2007.

The photograph of EGH 335 was taken in the grounds of Beaulieu Abbey for their library. Believe it or not, they did'nt have any photo's of an Aprilia at that time.

Andy,

Which photo of EGH are you referring to? The one I posted above was taken at Covent Garden in 2007.

Is that a well known blue for a Lancia?  I'm wanting a list of likely candidates for what mine was resprayed.  I could believe someone had an Aprilia that colour and wanted to match it when they got their Flavia Sport.

Assuming this is the car Jenks used to follow the GP circus one year, back in the fifties or early sixties, and subsequently wrote about in "Motor Sport" it was what set me searching for an Aprilia for my family motoring. And which I still have of course.

I guess Lancia also took a batch of EYP numbers because Graham Aylett has EYP 465 I believe.

Anyway it is a great picture and the car alongside looks like another Aprilia.--Over to the researchers fluent in French!

Same as Ben - it was Jenk's race reports and his comments about his Aprilia in the 1950s that set me off to buy my first Aprilia in 1962. I wish I still had it!
