I offered to help a young Fulvia owner by the name of George Cates, (whose LMC membership has not yet come through) to put the following message on the Forum. If anyone knows of any panels that might be available, please contact me and I'll put you in touch with George.

The time has finally come for me to stop enjoying my S2 coupe day to day and to give it the attention it deserves (for those at Goodwood, mine was the tattier '73 brown car, upon which someone observed "It looks like every day is a track day for that car!")

She's ready for the body shop but I'm in search of aluminium bonnet, boot and doors beforehand (the shell is solid, the steel opening panels are a little too far gone).

If anyone has a set, or the panels individually, please do get in touch.

Thanks in advance,

George

Don't forget that you might have to do a bit of work on them to make them fit, as they're all different!

That's right. I think I'm right in saying that all aluminium panels will be from a Series 1? I believe these didn't have the opening quarterlights. I say this because I had alloy doors fitted to my S2 by Graham Bates a good few years ago and I remember he took the quarterlights off the S2 steel doors and with a bit of clever jiggery pokery fitted them to the alloy ones. So that's something else to consider. I was lucky with mine - they just went on and fitted perfectly.

My alloy doors seemed to fit without too much bother so I took the plunge and swopped over the quaterlights as well....

Gents...... Am I correct in thinking that all 1st series 1.3 (s) coupe’s had opening quarter lights...... mine does.
But only the earlier 1.3s’s had the alloy panels. The later cars built towards October 1969 (when FIAT acquired Lancia) has steel panels.

Yes, I understand that series 1 Rally S models have opening quarterlights and Rally non S have fixed quarterlights, S2 have all opening ones.

My 1969 Series 1 1.3 Rallye Coupe had alloy panels but fixed front qtr lights, although it did opening rear windows, it was only the 'S' that had opening front qtr lights as standard, along with a servo, and oil cooler.
