I've been with Footman James/Aon since it was John Scott and Partners and have always had good service though have not had to make a claim since 1998.  Still, renewal time is here.  Anyone any advice or experience to share?

Last year  my FJ premium quote shot up, I had been with them since Bain Clarkson days.  Changed to Adrian Flux for less than FJ the previous year, service good insurer Haggerty. they only insure classics.  Have not had to claim so can't comment on claims service.

Club benefits from both FJ and AF.

Insurance is odd. My FJ 5-car policy went down £50 last year without any changes to agreed values.
I realise that some of my agreed values might be a tad low - especially the Aprilia since James's hard work. I have not changed the values for 3 years when the Flavia finished its restoration and was worth more than the £100 previously.
How on earth does one get the balance right? Huh?

You could try Peter S Taylor & Co, Hove E. Sussex 01273 820303  www.peterstaylor.co.uk
A good old fashioned insurance broker who don't have a call center! A good old fashioned price too.

Had my renewal from FJ have been with them since Bain Clarkson a long time. They wanted £407  Shocked this year for my Fulvia hf and my Mgc, I know I had a flood claim last year, but even so. Gone through Carole Nash who I have my classic Bonneville with. and guess what £124 for each car, agreed value on both , with last years claim too. They seem to have gone silly.

FJ quoted a few £s more for renewal of the Dilambda, Fanalone and Alfa Sportwagon multi vehicle policy and I couldn't do much better with any of the other 3 I tried. Just prior to renewal I went back to FJ to see what they would charge to add the Fulvia Berlina and they offered to do so for no additional premium!

As regards breakdown cover, the twice I have had to use FJ on the continent they have been superb and with my record in such matters I'm loath to change. Shocked
