I have a Lambda coming in for some work this week, its my 1sst time to work on one and feel "honoured" to do the work as its my dream car, its a late series torpedo and I could do with some photo's of the floor propshaft tunnel and front brake mechanism, the front brakes are complete however the cross shaft under the floor and the pulleys off the sliding pillars for the cables are also missing so could do with as mush help as possible making this car as correct as I can, many thanks in advance

ps I presume correct me if i'm wrong as I've never seen one before, but would it have plywood floors?? or would they be pressed steel?? , if plywood what holds them in place??

I've just had a CABG so not up to crawling under Sheila at the moment to take photos.  I have posted the appropriate tavole from the spares catalogue under the "Technical information only" thread on which you will also find lots of useful information.   I have reduced the quality a bit, if you need higher resolution I can send by email.  Good luck!    I may also have a few spares if you need them such as the pulleys (I think) and a cross shaft.  Check against the tavole and let me know what you need - there is also the Lambda Consortium for spares.
Floors are thick plywood held in place by long bolts.

There are a number of spares needed that I do not have but must be lurking in someone's shed.  Come on, chaps, there is a Lambda to be rescued!

James, I have a number of spares for this area of the car, all in rather poor condition, as my car was completely worn out. Also I can email you photos of the propshaft tunnel construction as my car is still bare in this area, let me know what views you need.It has been largely reconstructed as it was butchered in the 30's to fit a Ford Model B engine, so you might need to check it's correct enough for you.

We have an Aprilia appointment soon anyway, I hope!

Regards

Tony thanks for the offers, I will let you know whats needed when I know myself fully, this car is shortened and fitted with a flat head V8 hense no tunnel as the gearbox has been shifted back, I've come up with a plan now how to sort it and after looking at photo's of standard cars this will be a real 1 off because of where the gearbox now sits , aprilia, shouldn't be long now as 2 cars are near ready to go 3rd and 4th well underway 5th (lambda) studied and mentally sorting out what I'm doing with it before diving in and potentially getting it wrong, theres another car for engine work booked in before you but I'm hoping that will be arriving in the next week or so and my father will be doing that not me so hopefully end of the month if that's ok with you, still waiting for sills and floors however I feel confident to make these myself if needed, will be in touch very soon j

Off to a good start!!

Handy bit of pipe to bend the tunnel over?   Got a long folder for those edges or bits of angle iron?

Edwards 3foot rolls made the tunnel which has 3 different radius's in it so couldn't be made over a piece of pipe, yes I have a 2 meter folder now which I bought to make sills on........and now tunnels

Three radii on roll sounds quite a complicated procedure.  Lots of test strips and notes on the back of a handy envelope or is the machine calibrated?

Big roller, big folder, heavy swager/bead roller, wheeling machine, shrinker/stretcher.

I'm trying to think what you're missing...

Fly press?   Guillotine?

I'm trying to remember if you ever got the deep throat shrinker.

Chance of a photo of the rollers and the folder?  (sad I know...)

How are you going to fit the gear lever to that - presumably shorten the rod exceedingly and modify the aluminium housing so as to disguise to some extent the intrusion of the gearbox?   Also, how much shortened, enough for one-piece prop shaft?

Mighty stuff!!

The toggle press on the floor looks interesting - if that's the right name for them.

That "long reach polishing mop" looks like it should have a story attached.
