I have just submitted a 'Car Clubs' application for the Silverstone Classic this year.

As last year (but organised a little earlier!) this will allow LMC members to buy discounted 'early bird' tickets on a 2 for 1 basis, together with an infield car pass.

I will publish the reference code as soon as I have confirmation from the event organisers. The closing date for entries will be the 31st May, so book early!

I will plan to attend again this year with the Flaminia PF, together with a good friend who has just bought a lovely cream Flaminia 2.8 PF!

Would be great to see a broad spectrum of Lancia's on display at this great National event!

It was I my first time last year and rate it as the best event of the year, spent most of the day in the pits watching (right up close) teams strip and tune theirs cars. Even the 2hrs trip back to drop by brother off and back to Kingston in torrential rain with the Flaminai windscreen leaking and one speed wipers didn’t put the dampers on the day.

So hopefully there will be 3 Flaminia in attendance.

Hi Charles,

I'm on track to make Silverstone in my GT this year. I'm pushing hard to get it finished after 6 years. My engine will be back together and running for the first time in 30 years next month.

It was great to see your and Julian's flaminias last year - and I can't bear the thought of turning up in my Volvo again!!!

So that should be 4 Flaminias in! Are you going all weekend on on a specific day?

Cheers

Hi Dave

That's fantastic news if you can do it in time. Four Flaminia's!

I am planning on the whole weekend at the moment, probably travel up from Cardiff on the Friday.

Keep up the good work

Charles

Charles

Thanks on behalf of the Committee for organizing this again. I posted the contact details for the Bertone parade lap on the separate thread which hopefully you have seen (if any Bertone cars are attending - I'm sure a replica Stratos would be acceptable).

Hi Dave

What day are you thinking of going? I thinking of Saturday as there is more racing plus stuff in the early evening, that's if it doesn’t pour down like last year. I looking forward to seeing your car in the flesh and it would be a shame if i missed one of the best GTs around.

Cheers

Hi Julian,

I've splashed on a sat/sun ticket (members discount made it slightly less painful)- just in case I have issues making it on Saturday!

If all is running OK - Will go for Sat on my own - but tempted to bring my son on Sunday as well...if the wife lets me!!!!

Cheers

The Stratos Enthusiasts Club will have a stand there as usual Neil, perhaps the two clubs ought to co-ordinate for the event for a parade lap together? We were scheduled for one last year but we got rained off…..

Cheers

Guy

That's a good idea, As you will have gathered Charles is co-ordinating for LMC. The phone number for the lady from the X1/9 Club is on the linked thread. I'm sure she will be pleased to hear from you.
