From the article, "This remarkable futuristic design was the result of extensive wind-tunnel experiments by Giovanni Batista Falchetto in the aerodynamic laborotary of the Turin Technical College. It's smooth body was built by Farina and boasted cd of 0.4;in testing the standard 47bhp1352cc V4 puhed it to 100mph. The production car's best was 80mph. Three streamlined Aprilias were built and one competed in the 1938 Mille Miglia driven by Marrazza, finishing an unremarkable 26th, more than five hours behind Biodetti's winning Alfa Romeo 2.9. LIttle is known about the history of this streamlined Aprilia. It is believed to have competed in the Grand Prix of Pescara and during the war was seized by German troops. It still has Wermacht insignia markings on it's dramatic body. The story continues that the Lancia broke down in Austria where it was abandoned."
