Beta Rev Counter

Hello All
As well as owning a Fulvia Zagato Sport 1300 which at present is SORN, I recently dipped my toe into Betas (timeless piece of design) and have bought a 1977 Beta Spider, but there has been a hiccup, namely on the test drive the rev counter died. The garage has tried to source a replacement without any success, and now the offending instrument is with a firm of restorers and I am waiting to hear the outcome. I would greatly appreciate any pointers for a possible supplier of a replacement unit, as I would like to have another unit as well as the restored one "just in case"
Regards Alan

So now I am the proud owner of a white Beta Spider, I would like to thank all your posts regarding this, especially to Stuart who took a lot of time out on Saturday to give the car "the once over" and this was without any breakfast! The general opinion is that it is a good solid car, there are a few issues as well as the non working rev counter, but what a dream to drive! Today Sunday 9th was glorious in Essex so the Targa top and the soft top were down, so immediately a non locking passenger door needs to be put right and a cam belt cover needs to be hunted down.
Regards Alan

Hi Alan, I am trying to reduce the load in the loft of my garage before it collapses under the weight of spares. I have quite a lot of early beta bits and bobs including a complete instrument cluster and other trim bits. You would be very welcome to make my storage problem into your storage problem! If you are comming to the AGM I live just off the route of the Sunday tour.
