I propose to trial monthly meetings for Kent and Sussex lancia motor club members at The Brickwall Hotel, Seddlescombe, Battle, East Sussex TN33 0QA. This beautiful 16th century Tudor mansion is just off the A21 and is owned and run by Italians. www.brickwallhotel.comThe day will be the last Tuesday of the month from 7pm starting in March, further dates will be added if feedback is positive March25th April 29th May 27th A meal with coffee will be available at £12.50 per head. This is a large membership area and I realise The Brickwall Hotel may not be convenient for everyone. If I get a favourable response other hostelries could be found and meetings rotated. If you are interested in coming or need more information please contact me Alison Ure on alijoure@hotmail.com. I would like to have a rough idea of numbers if possible. I look forward to seeing you there.

Having just updated a 12 year old Sony with a new one I'm impressed at how it can almost see in the dark. Its a Sony RX100 which fits nicely in a pocket. There are a few other compacts to match it and I'm sure all the SLRs these days would be the same. The mistake I keep making with it is putting the flash on only to find out looking at the pictures on the PC that it was better without.
Cameras ARE better than phones!!!

Robin, I make it, Your Fulvia Berlina. Bob Seaney's Appia Zagato. A Flavia Coupe, Owner ? A 2000 Coupe, Owner ? A Flavia Berlina Series 1? Owner ? A Ypsilon Owner ? And in the first photo what looks to be a Thesis but doesn't appear in any of the other photos. Owner ? A very nice group with unusually a preponderance of Flavia/2000 Brian 8227

Hi Richard, Yes indeed, a very good week for KPD. MOT on Monday and the young tester took one look and offered to write the fail certificate there and then. However, as the test proceeded he became more and more astonished until when finished he said incredulously ' I'm going to have to pass it!' Result! Tuesday it took us to the new Sussex/Kent meeting and on Thursday to the Lambda Lunch at the Phoenix Hartly Wintney. On the Thursday morning, having ascertained that Margaret was up for the trip to The Phoenix I inquired which car we should take. She replied, 'the lace curtain please' her affectionate name for KPD. It transpired that the Fulvia is a much kinder ride for her back problem that the Alfa 159! So now I'm going to have to keep it aren't I? Robin.

Not bad Robin 6 out of 7! I just couldn't lighten the photos up enough to see clearly the 7th car so being a Lancia photo I looked at the wheels and thought Thesis Peter was a long way from home I would have thought? Brian 8227

Brian 8227 Apologies again for the photos but I felt on balance it was better than nothing to post them. I don't carry a camera with me the these days, relying on my mobile phone, which is OK until it gets dark! Yes, Peter was a long way from home but wanted to encourage this new venture and demonstrates his dedication to the role of LMC President. Robin.

Another "modern tip" for night time photos is to use a torch - or if you have helpers two or three. Car headlights are another "helper" - my "night time Lancia 2000" on the end of the Goodwood set had a bit of assistance in that regard.
