No queues to get in. Hardly anyone round the back of the circuit - felt like a track day. Food and drink fairly priced.
The circuit looked gorgeous with cherry blossom and daffodils out.
Fabulous spectating, great racing, brilliant paddock with unfettered access.
Great atmosphere. Relaxed, convivial. Very much like the first few Revival Meetings.
We left when the racing finished - at gone 7pm in the dark. However there was music and fireworks into the night.
What's not to like? If I was to be really picky the demos were all a bit disappointing (Turbo F1s, GpB, long tail LeMans). The flip side of that is those same cars in the paddock were much more impressive than photos can convey: a real treat to see them, in such quantity, so close and with no crowding. It was worth the trip to Goodwood just to see those GpBs parked in a line let alone all the rest.
A great success.

What a good weekend for it, weatherwise. I like the Madgwick photo. Now set as'wallpaper' for this week.

Wonderful photos David! Thank you for sharing them with us - almost felt like being there. Obviously your new camera is a good investment from which we can all derive benefit.

It was a privilege to be there.
While the demos (F1, LeMans, GpB) were a bit tame the two Ferrari F40 pace cars were impressive and the new McClaren hybrid really did look, sound and go like something from another planet. Out of the chicane it was squirming with its tail lights flashing well past the pit entrance before it found enough grip for warp drive. It made the CanAms seem like peddle cars.
I still think the best historic F1 experience is to be right next to the grid at Brands Hatch.
Anyone any tips on the best place to see GpBs in action? The Goodwood special stage is a bit tight and slippy aside from the terrible dust and poor views. An event I keep missing is the Stratos gathering at Abingdon. I also have never quite made it to the Castle Coombe rally day.

Makes my efforts look very amateur. Still writing report and checking out my 1500 images. Here is one of Chris Gawn taken on the re-start, and one car I think you may have missed, but probably not.

I think that particular 037 would be my "car I most wanted to take home"... Lovely shot.
