I plan to do the "Morris Parry" mod on the AUGUSTA petrol gauge but I need a tank with the bowl in the bottom that sits in the hole on the scuttle. My tank is a homemade replacement and as it was made without the bowl it is too shallow.
Why mention this in the Aprilia/Ardennes and Ardea section?
Ron Francis has an ARDEA tank that looks similar - any ideas?

Brian, I think I have one somewhere, as I have a tank in my boot. I'll see if I can find it.

Brilliant!
Why is it the spares one has are not needed and what is needed is missing?
Murphy had it right.

Not so brilliant, I'm afraid. I certainly would not have thrown it away, but I'm darned if I can find it - and I've had a pretty good look all afternoon. I'm beginning to wonder if I gave it to someone like James. It had a pair of chromed straps, which I also cannot find. Sorry about that.

Brian, do you still want a tank. Miraculously I have not only managed to hold onto one, but I have also managed to find it!!  It is complete with the bowl, I know I had another that was flat bottomed, that is the one I cannot find, so Murphy's law does not always apply!!

Condition of the tank is a total unknown.

Please let me know one way or the other if you still want the tank.

Best wishes,

Please Please Please!
My geography is suspect even though I did work in Essex last century.
Are you near Billaricay? Colin Clamp and I will be meeting up at the Flavia AGM on May 11th in Oxfordshire.
