Was that David Piper in the Flaminia? He used to do very well in one. Not so well in the Flavia, as he didn't like the front wheel drive!

'63 for David Piper? A look around and about the Brands paddock in those days would have been nice.

David Piper lodged with John Maltby for a time (see LMC book) and while he was driving for Ferrari brought back several cars from Italy including a now ell known B20 UK reg 73DLH which I bought from JM and owned for several years.  I did not know he was a Flaminia man.  I have a 1967 3B Coupe.

I believe its a touring car race at Spa in 1964 - the car was driven by Pascal Ickx and Georges Harris

Even a pedal car makes an Elan look like a pedal car. I remember seeing an Elan next to an original MX-5. It made you wonder how a grown man could get in it. I know about rose-tinted specs, but I think in the case of motorsport it really WAs better then. To be able to mooch around among the cars and drivers and watch someone like Clark doing 7 races a day in different cars - unbeatable. Lucky we still have a thriving historic racing scene.
