Sadly Mark Oldfield had engine problems with his Lancia Monte Carlo and failed to start. However Johan Denekamp pushed hard in his Martini example.

Much enjoyed as always Peter - I blame the good weather this weekend for people not being on the forum.
Would you put that photo of the "wedge" Alfa GTV up here? A great photo in itself but also a test of the "40 year rule". I thought it looked brilliant.

Lovely photos as always Peter. sadly I had a DNF for once due to my propshaft cracking just ahead pf the centre bearing about 20 mins into the race. Huge vibration so crawled back to the pits for retirement.. Thas has happened befopre to me 6 or 7 years ago at Donington and also to the kennedys when we were at Monza together. Also Tim Burrett has had the same thing a few times in his career. The broken shaft is irrepairable so has to be chucked. I carry a spare propshaFFT with me in my towing RV and its about a 1 hour job. We had a lovely dinner at the BRDC on saturday evening so the day wasnt all bad! All done now and out next at Cadwell Park with the HSCC for a double header in June. Chris

There were a couple at the Goodwood Members meeting. Not great photos but for reference... Has their time come?

Saw a GTV recently and also thought how good it looked. But what struck me after all these years were the rear side windows. They looked very big and split into the two sections. It wasn't a minus point, just if I'd been asked to draw one from memory would never have remembered that detail.

Its still gawky, but very definitely now a pukka classic and great to see. The Alfasud Sprint was prettier then and has aged incredibly well in all forms (that's the looks not the structure!!!).
