Kent and Sussex Monthly meeting last Tuesday of the month

15 turned out on a filthy weather evening with Flavia 2000 Coupe, 200HF Coupe, Delta HF Turbo and Modestine the Dilambda. Good time had by all.

Another enjoyable meeting, 18 turned up including 4 new faces but only 3 cars and 2 of those with the new faces!

June meeting on the 28th is the BBQ at Ashurst Wood. 23 booked in so far, please let Alison Ure know if you're coming.

Another excellent BBQ at New Barn even if we did have to stay in the house!

Around 30 members attended including President Peter Gerrish, a contingent from the Surrey Centre and Tim & Jane Burret from Oxfordshire. Eight Lancias braved the inclement weather and would have been nine if Pat Ure's Lambda hadn't misbehaved, however, Pat made it in a modern. The 2 Dilambdas sulked in the barn both undergoing work in preparation for the Lambda Fobello 2016 rally in September.

Tuesday 26th (tomorrow!) for our next meeting at The Neville Crest & Gun Frant Nr Tunbridge Wells from 6-30pm.

18 turned up on Tuesday (including Will How from the Surrey meeting) for a very convivial evening of Lancia (and not so Lancia!) chat over a meal together. Just 5  Lancias as the weather was a tad inclement - 2 Fulvias (including !st timer Jamie in a very pretty mid blue 1.3 coupe) Delta HF Turbo, Appia and Dilambda.

A great group of people from across the whole spectrum of Lancia (and other makes!) ownership enhanced by the attendance of an increasing number of ladies. So, if you've not been before do come along to the next meeting which is scheduled for Tuesday 25th October. It's all very informal - some eat, some don't and some come for only a short time. You will be made very welcome.

No meeting Tuesday 27th December but there will be our 3rd annual New Year's Day gathering. Our usual watering hole (Neville Crest & Gun at Frant) are unable to accommodate us so lunch will be served at our house. More details soon.

Many thanks to our hosts for organising a wonderful afternoon. Happy New Year!

A great way to kick off the New Year. Much pleasure indeed for Margaret and I to have 22 Lancisti plus 8 Laceys making 30 in all enjoying lunch together. The appalling weather meant that only 2 Lancia, Thema and 2000 Coupe, plus a vintage Rolls Royce ventured out. Although Modestine and the Fanalone were coaxed out of the garage and a rolling slide show of Lacey's Lancia history provided marque interest.

Our grandson William entertained with a raffle in aid of his Boy Scout's Troop expedition in August to a rural village in Uganda to build a kitchen and improve the water supply.  Much hilarity when the same two or three participants kept winning but sportingly took just one prize and in the end everyone went away with something.

Grateful thanks to Sarah & Mark, Jonathan & Andrea, plus four grandchildren for sterling work in the kitchen on the day.

Wishing all our Lancia friends all the very best for 2017.

Best way of passing the salt was seen when we visited Tree Tops in Kenya, there was a  wide shallow groove from one end of the table to the other, in which sat a couple of 4 wheeled flat cars, and you just pushed these up along the table as required, very effective.
