Proportions look a bit 'kit car' to me.
If you look at the old photo the wing line seems higher/wheels larger??? There's something better proportioned anyway - or my eyes just failing me!!!

Yes - definitely looks better in the old photo - front wing higher, full rear wing etc. Just shows you how some simple changes can change a whole look.

There was some discussion about this car at the recent Sliding Pillar rally as to its provenance. Gerard Lansink contacted me when he commenced the project and I have been able to help him with bits and pieces of information and some parts including a set of series 1 wheel rims I had acquired but which were the wrong size for my series 2 Dilambda.
It is important to note the following paragraph from the Ebay advert:

The only real problem was finding a car body that fitted the thoughts of how my dream car would have to look like.
From below picture the first drawings where made of how the car should look like and how it is now. Enjoy the pictures and the car I created in 6 years with my own hands.

It also makes it clear in the advert that it is not from the Schlumpf Collection but was owned by a member of the Schulmpf family.
Gerard did not set out to recreated in every detail the car in the original photo nor to pass it off as that car. It was to be created
'in the style of'
. So, a comparison of the differences between the original and his car are to some extent irrelevant, personal preferences being the only consideration. It is very unusual for his car to be left hand drive (I've not come across another) and I have a photograph of the original which shows it to be right hand drive. I'm not keen on the SU conversion either.
However, it is a Dilambda at heart and appears to perform well - I like it a lot! £150,000? Who knows?
Robin.
