Hi All Not sure if any of you have seen this on You Tube, but although not Lancia related, it did bring to mind the fabrication skills of some of the folk on here..... I've just sat and watched the first 3 episodes, Brilliant with a great sense of Humour, but being as it's nearly 1.30am I'm going to bed, but I've book Marked the other 3 episodes to watch later  Brian 8227  |

I watched the first - a guilty pleasure - and thought I'd wait to plug the laptop into the TV and subject the kids to it. I liked his "grinder scarecrow" - he has a rack with four grinders to save having to change disks. Perhaps Chugga could tell us which four. Perhaps a 1mm cut, grind, flap sander and a wire brush? Perhaps a thick and thin cut but not the brush? Looks like a scarecrow as the rack also holds a full face mask and gloves. Perhaps unlucky, perhaps they don't make them like they used to. I went for a DeWalt to replace it. So far so good - good long flex, slimmer grip, better handle, more robust guard that clips on to remove or move, easier switch, less vibration and the promise that it ducts the dust away from the motor. The other brag is that the air vent is not just where you'd want to hold it. David |

I normally have four 115mm angle grinders on the go, 1mm cut, abrasive polydisc, wire brush and mule skinner. The 225mm angle grinder has a diamond disc for concrete, stone, brick and etc. Jim, in addition to those on my list, also keeps a flap sander and a different wire brush on his collection. Electric cable trip hazard is one of the big H & S considerations in the workshop!!!

David, please!! I do not want, or indeed need, to be reminded that I should have had it blasted in the first place .....
Photograph of Jim's angle grinder rack, the brackets hang on Jim's home fabricated folding work bench. This bench is meant for lightweight work only, it is not meant to be a place to 'just put something down while I look at this/ge ta cup of tea or whatever' and which then stays there for a year. Unfortunately the latter scenario is what happens in practice which is why it looks the way it does!!
