Thanks again.
Tried the HPI check again leaving out the "0" and trying all numbers between 0 and 9.
No joy.
Is there any way of chassis number?
thanks

Simon,
Do you have a copy of the Lancia Motor Club Membership Register of Members & their Vehicles 2011, if you haven't already tried it why not look up 'L' Registered 2nd series Fulvia's and contact the owner/owners using the contact details shown, and ask what their V5 says, and what is actually on the chassis plate, no doubt someone would be prepared to let you have photos and a copy of the V5 that you could show to the DVLA to support your case?

Well after 3 months, 8 letters, multiple photographs and the help from the DVLA, I know unbelievable!
It turns out the registration on the paperwork sold with the car was not from this vehicle, chassis number and engine were correct, but the seller had used another vehicles registration to sell vehicle.
So now I have a 1.3S with the correct registration, glad I have V5, but reg is now POO 742M.
POO of all things, no jokes about painting it brown!

So if anyone knows this vehicle, last on the road in 2008, in Weston Super Mare.

Congratulations on finally getting things sorted.
'POO' is an Essex Registration, Richard Carr has K12 POO on his integrale Evo which he has owned for many years, if nothing else it's very distinctive, and you won't forget it in a hurry.

Seems there's someone at the DVLA with a questionable sense of humour. We've recently managed to get an age related number for Elaine Moore's Dilambda. BF 7168!

Well Robin, that is better than no sense of humour at all. I think that working in some of these large bureaucratic institutions would knock the humour out of the best of us!!

Simon, I am glad you have that sorted. If some time you take her back to her first home, do pop in for a nice cup of tea!!
