I looking to remove the front hubs from my series two HF, does anyone local to Bristol have the correct 3 prong tool that I can borrow.
Failing that is there a drawing of the tool required so I can make one.

Tools are available through the club tool hire, if you look in the back of 'Viva Lancia' you will find the contact details for Tim Heath (Lancialulu), you'll need the puller as well. Brian 8227  |

Emailed Tim this evening, just hope he hasn't hired it out as I'm ready to remove these parts.
Failing that it's back to the bodywork😩

Wow, that was easier than I thought, cheque went off last night.
Not sure what the problem is but felt a bit of vibration under braking.
Might as well sort all niggles whilst the subframe is out.
In hindsight I should have loosened the hubs prior to removing the subframe but we live and learn, will get 4 mates to stand on each corner to keep it down!

"We all Live and learn" Trial and Error, Experience.. I have learnt that before returning tools, it might be wise to retorque the hubnuts, to ensure they really are still nice and tight.

One (out of many) possible cause for vibration under braking is slack allen keys fixing the inner CV joint(s) to the gearbox. Worth checking this out, Andrea

Also if the front disks are worn down or warped or pads causing local corrosion when stood for a few years best to put new disks on. If skimmed make sure you do not go below min thickness.

Stripping parts down in anticipation of the arrival of the tools from Tim and decided to look at the nuts, one looks fine but the nearside one looks as if a quality bodger has been having a go at trying to loosen it. May prove a challenge getting this one off. Might not chance LMC tools on this part!

Oh dearie me, someone got frustrated didn't they!!!
I do hope that it is not so damaged that you are not able to remove the nut. Are new nuts available? It would seem that is what you need.

New nuts from Omicron, should be fitted in any case. You may weld something onto the old nut to get it off and then Throw It Away!!
