Date for diaries - Saturday April 18th 2015

Club Track day at Goodwood.

This long standing event needs your support. It is a great opportunity to drive your Lancia round this historic and evocative circuit. Non Lancias are also welcome, and non club members too (day membership available on the day). It is also a key event in the club's social calender so even if you are not going to drive the track, come down and bring a picnic.

Both full and half track days are available. Try a half day if you haven't done this event before.

Entry form is appended to this post.

Its not too late to put on your Xmas list. What a red letter day you will have!!

Brian Mills is the contact (see bottom of entry form) if you have any queries.

Tim

Is trackday insurance available on the day for those whose policies exclude track days?

I dont think so. The Club has public liability, but are you sure your insurance co would not add it on?

Bear in mind this is not like a normal trackday. Much less cars 8 at LMC v c20 generally. There is a drilled etiquette for overtaking, and the marshals take poor driving very seriously. So really down to the pilot for any embarrasment. If you have not been before the senior instructor takes you out in the course car to familiarise, and is on hand to sit with you round the track if you want for guidance and tips....

Some classic insurers do cover track days but you do have to tell them beforehand and they may ask details like who is the organiser etc. and the only downside is that they up the excess while you are on the track, but if they include it for free, that's not a problem.

Hi all,

Just to let you know that entries are coming in, however club members are in danger of being in a minority at this rate! The event is great value and it's at it's best with Lancia owners out there who fully understand the importance of this event, so come on or this will not be a true LMC event for much longer.

Aprilia or Thesis, get them out there! Send me your entries.

Regards
Brian

Just to let you all know that for the first time in several years the event is now full! So thank you all that have entered , I am sure you will have a great day . To those that are coming to watch please throw a fiver in the bucket for your days entertainment , it will help support this event in future years.

Enjoy Lancia

Monte off SORN and ready to go.

Does anyone know if the flying club will be open for lunch or will it just be the dining delights of the chuck wagon ?

Martin.

Ah yes Tim, good for alfresco dining but for those of us who don't eat meat, if the flying club isn't open, we'll have to make other arrangements.

I wonder if Fortnum & Mason will deliver a picnic hamper ............

Well Martin you could ask for a cheese burger but go easy on the burger.......anyway weather predictions seem to be cooling down by the weekend from the current summery offering??
