Oi - no stereotyping please!! Lived here all my life and the only time I've ever had anything nicked from a car was in Manchester!
Body kit on a shopping trolley perhaps?

My favourite is forgetting to tick for wheels on the option list.
It also reminded me of these:

A happy customer visiting the Zagato works in Milan to check the bodywork is just as she ordered it. The works manager explained that they were waiting delivery of the next batch of floor-pans, drive trains and all the other parts. They were expected to arrive soon from the Lancia works in Turin by rail on open trucks, but they had been delayed because of heavy snow. The works manager also reassured her that they would make sure any of the exposed steel that already showed signs of rust would be dusted down before final assembly. He went on to say that she could be entirely confident there would be no sign of corrosion for at least the first twelve months of ownership.
