Manchester Classic Car Show 19th & 20th September
« on: 14 March, 2015, 01:49:44 PM »
Don Williamson will be organising an official Club stand this year (formerly Event City).

Anyone in the North of England who fancies showing their car please contact Don, or just come and see us at the stand either way?

We should have space for between 3 & 6 cars, each car gets free entry ticket and we get a couple for additional stand helpers.  There will also be a code in due course for a club discount for on line purchase of tickets.

They expect at least 70 car club stands + traders and individual owner entries.

Unlike the NEC parking is FREE!  Also the venue is just across the road from the Traford Centre for those who might be interested in shopping. ;)

Hi there,

I live a mile from the trafford centre. Would be happy to help setup and dismantle.
I was there in 2013.

Would be glad to display the Fulvia also if it's needed.

Mihran'.
Fulvia s1, Thema 8.32 and a Citroen 2cv for diversity :-)

A good show I thought, much less commercial than the NEC.

Guy's Stratos must have been the most photographed car at the show!

Unusually my BlackBerry let me down a bit and I haven't got a really good photo of the stand!

Thanks to Don, Diana and David for organising it all.

Well done to Neil and accomplices.

Looks a nice show- I must admit the NEC is becoming a bit too big (and expensive) these days.

If it falls before SORN time again next year, I could even bring the chocolime along if there is interest.

Two door Augusta?

Nope - it's a beautiful French built Belna David. It's dimensions are great, it looks like it's been chopped down but it's original with fantastic suicide doors.

Looks great.

What is Guy doing at his Strato's? Checking his tyre pressures meet the FIA regulations?? ;D ;D

Its not the winning but taking part! or is it taking apart?

Lighting looks much better than the awful lighting at the NEC, Think I'll attend next year :)

Whilst it smaller than the NEC its also cheaper entrance and parking is FREE!

The organiser is friendly and helpful, we were asked if we wanted to move to a bigger stand a couple of weeks before the show and the staff at the venue are also helpful not jobsworths.  One of our cars was delivered without a pass, just a chat with the chaps on the gate and a wrist pass given and car waved through.

During set up Organiser's staff come round to check that ever thing is ok, Organiser himself came round whilst show was on taking photos and chatting.

Since have had an email thanking us for participating and hoping we will go next year details will be sent as soon as Event City confirm the dates.
