Thank you.
Brilliant, I'm always`amazed at some of the rear overhangs, must have been a real bouncy ride.

I am with you on that Brian, must have been a nightmare worrying if you wipeout someone or something with your backend when you turn a corner.

I like the 'Gran Turismo'. Has a great front end. The seats look incredibly modern and comfy for its age.

Back about 1960 I used to drive a car transporter, but we had a problem at the opposite end, there was one car on the top deck of the trailer which extended out above the cab and this took a wide arc when going around tight corners, we always had to be careful at the A5 Traffic lights by Hollywell Hill where we turned left to head towards London Colney, that we didn't remove the pub on the corners (Pheasant Inn?) wooden balcony with the car :o

If it's the corner I am thinking of, it is the King Harry and someone eventually took out half the pub ....

The pub at the crossroads of Hollywell Hill / Chequer St / London Rd would be the Peahen Inn.
The King Harry was at the top of St Stephan's Hill.......I used to live very nearby.
At the time St Albans had 96 pubs.....think I visited most of them!

I notice the 1927 charabanc has wire wheels which strikes me as unusual.
