I suddenly needed to take up the clutch cable on the 1600 Sport and I juat managed to get home before it became impossible to disengage the clutch. One engine/gearbox removal later and all is revealed

Just to make life easier it was impossible to remove the yoke from the rod so I had to repair it in situ! However, a new release bearing from Omicrom and whilst I was there, a new clutch from Ebay (£52 all in) many hours of struggle and all is well again!

What a really strange failure.
i have had clutches pack up for numerous other reasons but never for an ear breaking off.
Glad you have got it sorted and hope it has not interfered with your Fobello preparations!
