I have just got my good timing light back from my son and timed the Y10. It is bright enough to be perfectly good for use in daylight. It is made by Optilux and I see there is one on e-bay for £23 plus £3.30 P&P.

Looking at other timing lights on e-bay I would comment that you should consider ease of access to the timing marks. I don't think I could have got a gun type into the space in the Y10.
