It's only an impression but in the first picture might the car on the left have a body in the boot? It looks a bit lower at the back.

It is an 'art' setting within my camera, which adds dramatic tones. I assume it is done by electronics......or is it magic? It seems to work well in lower light conditions as it adds contrast....but I am no expert.

Interesting. I wonder what the effect would be if you used a polarising filter to cut down the reflections in the car.

If my current experience of digital photography is anything to go by a polarising filter would probably make the camera have a hissy fit and refuse to take any pictures!

Should be OK. I have one permanently on my SLR lens partly as a protector. Having said that, prices of polarising filters have risen drastically over the years. I should probably add a UV to protect that, then something else to protect that...............
