Freyja was driving Boot down the to bottom of the Petit St Bernard when suddnely all went quiet - no go, no overheard camshaft.  She took off the cam cover and I observed the drive shaft to have risen so taking the skew gears out of engagement.   The photo shows the culprit, failing from fatigue I guess after a mere 86 years.   We could only get an ordinary nut and blt to replace it but that lasted until she was ticking over ready to board the ferry.  Old Boot just did not want to leave Europe I guess!

Sheila produced #324010 - the picture shows the cure, courtesy of Giorgio.  I think this one is not entirely unknown though.  The hub carrier was not cracked, incidentally.
