Do you mean "Auto Italia" magazine as I have an inkling that he might be doing an article comparing the Flaminia convertible with the Alfa Romeo 2600 which should be in next month's mag.

The "Automobile" article is on the berlina and is very good - Martin has done some reseach and his admiration for the car is very clear.

I got a copy of The Automobile and was delighted to find it also has a biographical article on Tony Brooks whose garage in Weybridge seems to have been the dealer who first sold my berlina. In Martin Buckley's article I was a bit sceptical about his statement that UK sold berlinas were re carpeted before being marketed. I have now had two original RHD berlinas neither of which had any sign of having been recarpeted. The floor covering, with the exception of the footwell mats, is glued down and clearly has never been disturbed whereas if these areas had been carpeted I would expect it to be trapped in place by other trim and fittings.
