There are many words that come to mind, most of which are not suitable for this Forum. I hope no damage and that it did not cause too much inconvenience!!

That really is a 'there but for the grace of god ....'!!

Easily done, a real shame, hope not much damage or need to undertake too much work to get it running again

did it to my Fulvia once. Reversed back to BP Ultimate as the Ultimate I pulled up to was taped off. I did not look and classic petrol tanks take the larger nozzle with ease. I filled up with diesel Ultimate.

I got 1/3 mile down the road before it died and then I realised...doohhh. Easy to fix though.

Yes, it managed to limp to my local garage as I hadn`t filled it up, so it was running on a mix of diesel and petrol. They are going to drain it down and refill it on Monday.

Hopefully no harm will have been done - fingers crossed !

Its only oil so no harm I would think. I drained mine (full tank). And did a small flush with petrol and then cranked it till it fired up and away she went. Lesson learned.

I put about 20 Gallons of diesel in my big old Mercede300se one day about 10 years ago, luckily I realies before I fired it up, but I still had to be transported away, the diesel drained, the tank flushed and then filled with Petrol, very expensive mistake, so you're not alone Bob Embarrassed
