Hi all.
I have a pair of Delta HF's that I bought with the intention of making one good one, but as things so often are I'll most likely never get around to doing it.
Intention was to restore the grey one using parts from the white one.
White ones roof is pretty much toast, grey one has a poor o/s/r arch but white one has a reasonable one if a swap was thought of.
Usual areas need doing on both, sills/floor edges.
Front cross-member is poor but I have a reasonable used one that needs minimal repair that will go with them.
I also have a very good condition screen scuttle panel with NO rust that can be had too.
Both tailgates are decent enough, bonnets OK. Doors half decent to good, front seats missing on one, mostly good door cards etc.
Engine in white one is a runner but needs bottom end rebuild as knocks, gearbox has had 5th gear robbed but I have another complete unit.

I was going to keep usable bits for my car, sell the rest and scrap the shells but the grey one is saveable with some effort so if anyone fancies a challenge the lot can be had for the right offer...

Located in North Lincolnshire.

Kev.

by no means the full extent of rot, but just to see they aren't a quick fix

I'll most likely end up breaking them for spares if no takers which would be a shame, unless I just stash the grey one for a few years until l I get chance to do it...

Wow, I thought my Delta was badly corroded!  Shocked. If you do decide to break them I'd be interested in the seats if they are Recaros & in good condition. I agree that it would be a shame to break them as there aren't many left, it's a tricky decision  Undecided. Cheers, Rob

Hi Rob.
There are only front seats in the grey one which are the standard FH ones, not the Recaro ones like I have for my integrale.
Agree it is fairly well rotten but saveable, just a little more work that is deemed sensible!
As they become fewer out there though I loath to chop them both up to be honest.
The white one has donated a couple of parts for my integrale so it's dead really, the roof and webbing bars to it were dreadful along with more issues on it so the decision was made it had to sacrifice things unfortunately.
The grey one I am hoping to save some space in my unit if I can then in a good few years it may get done, unless someone makes me a reasonable offer for it. There is not far from enough bits between the two to make a decent job of it, apart from some chassis fabrication of course!

Hi Kev,

If I were you I would keep them both as spares for Deltas are getting very expensive (even for little bits of trim, plastic clips etc. Although the roof on the white one looks quite bad, what condition is the floorpan in? The floorpan on the dark grey one looks really bad & the rear drivers side wheelarch would need a lot of work on the inner & outer panels. Have you got any pictures of the floorpan on the white one? Are you planning on doing the restoration work yourself or are you getting someone in to restore it for you? Cheers, Rob

You're right about all the useful little bits and pieces Rob, I'll be hanging on to as much as I can. The white one has already donated the front strut top panels for my integrale along with more bits to come.
I'll be doing the car myself when the time comes, done worse than the grey one before. My integrale for example!
I'll sort through a few smalls that I have multiples of and sell a few bits off.

Any takers on the pair of them?
Not looking for a fortune considering how many parts there are, I know the black one needs a fair amount of work but at least it's there!
£700 takes the lot...

white one now chopped up, I'm using the VGC scuttle panel now on my integrale so if anyone wants the black one with a useable o/s/r arch from the white one plus a complete engine needing a bottom end rebuild, a complete good gearbox with the one that's from the white one (missing 5th gear) then it can be had for £500 or i'll throw a sheet over it for the next 5 years until I get chance to do it.
white doors and bonnet/hatch etc will go with it of course
