Found a reference to "Mr C R Wood of Purley produced a one-piece bodyshell for his own Lancia".  He's said to be an aircraft engineer and to have done the work at home.  There's a picture from Autocar June 12th 1953 and a note "shown at the plastics exhibition".

Anyone know any more about this one or got a copy of that magazine on the shelf?

I remember reading "Augusta" but can't find that bit of text...   It was the book I read before last.

Enjoyed it so much I bought his book on Rochdales.  Would recommend both.
