Hi All,
I've sure you'll all like this - I've received this enquiry:

"Hi Steve
I know this is random, not sure if you’ve spoke to Steve from Marches college! Just wondered if you had any useful information on a Lancia Jolly (service) such as a manual or something as we are restoring the van as a project as part of our apprentice course Thanks Jake Tromans Marches Apprentice Car SOS Mechanic"

I've enclosed some pictures , email for contact is tro15@hotmail.co.uk

Hello Steve

The manager Stuart Blakemore has already contacted me and I have put the following into next VL....

I suggest Stuart is kept in the loop if anyone is able to offer help to the Apprentice team.

I will be making a press release to the motoring fraternity in the next few days.

Tim

"Apprentices to restore Lancia Service Van

The club has been contacted by the Marches Centre of Manufacturing Technology (MCMT).
MCMT has recently started running the Heritage Technician Apprenticeship, aimed at the vintage and classic automotive industries and has been donated a Lancia Jolly ex works van, from Switzerland.

The Jolly van is in fact GB registered and complete, but in a bit of a state, and not running. The MCMT apprentices will restore it as part of their course, and I have asked if the apprentices would keep a blog of their progress. Hopefully, this may appear in future VLs.

If any member with Jolly or Appia experience wants to get involved to provide advice and guidance please contact the programme manager Stuart Blakemore at SBlakemore@mcmt.co.uk.

Tim Heath"

Any chance this is ex Rudler, as I seem to remember photos of similar, especially as it's ex UK registered, there can't have been too many about.
How about the Kennedy's?  Louise and Jason must have the most up to date experience.

Don, yes it is your's Norman's and Dick's old van. It went to Switzerland, then to Hungary to be restored, got lost and then found again, came back to Switzerland last year, and now finally looks as if it is homeward bound!

Brian, I have never owned this Jolly van, although I have driven it a few times. The ones I have owned have been Superjollys (The same as Louise's Minibus).

Get the apprentices working on it to join the forum! They may be the next generation of Lancisti.

The SVS number plate wasn't the original one though.

Mike, the thread starts with the van coming from Switzerland so probably not....

I seem to recall the Lincoln van was a mobile workshop with windows and a high roof; I think the registration was FMU 11B - that certainly comes up on the DVLA website as a 1964 1100cc blue Lancia, off the road since October 1994.
