An early bird notification for Forum users! I'm hoping this will also come to you in Novembers VL:

Next year’s GNW will be held at The Ripon Inn, Park Street, Ripon, North Yorkshire, HG4 2BU between Friday 19th and Sunday 21st April 2024. Due to the booking protocols of the Hotel Group I have made a block booking and will be putting the individual bookings together myself. There are 14 double/twin rooms available at £175 and 16 classic double/twin rooms at £215 based on double occupancy. Single occupancy attracts a discount of £10 for either type of room. Dogs are welcome. The lower cost rooms will be allocated on first come first served basis.

After arrival on Friday guests are free to eat at the hotel or explore the many pubs and eateries in the small city of Ripon. The cost of Saturdays gala dinner remains to be agreed once the new menu comes online in January so the final cost of the meal will be added to final payments which will be due no later than 29th February 2024.

To secure your booking please make a deposit of £40 via BACs to M N Priestman 38726140 40-47-61 before 31st December 2023. Email me your name and address plus room preference confirming payment and the details of the car you intend to bring along (dvla@lanciamc.co.uk). The deposit is non-refundable as is the final payment once made.

A small health warning in that we will be somewhat ‘cosy’ in the private dining area on Saturday evening as the hotel does not have a dedicated function room. I’ve consciously offset this against the excellent value offered by this newly refurbished hotel (opened 16th October) and the spectacular countryside within a very short drive.

Looking forward to welcoming faces old and new to Yorkshire for my first GNW.

Hi Neil,

I presume the room prices quoted £175/£215 are for two nights, Friday & Saturday ?

Cheers,  Peter

The reserved rooms are now sold, please don't send further deposits. If you are still interested email me via dvla@lanciamc.co.uk and I will contact the hotel regarding whether they have further rooms free.

Huge thanks to Neil, Elena and team for a fabulous weekend in the Dales. The weather was kind and exploring the dales on a 90 mile loop was spectacular (particularly in an agile Lancia).

Thanks again Neil for stepping forward.
