Aurelia 4th series

« on: 28 March, 2011, 07:48:33 PM »

A big thank you to Stan Hughes for getting a very wide range of Lancias together for the Classic Car Show in Manchester last weekend - held in the new indoor exhibition halls at the Trafford Centre.

The cars there were - Artena, Augusta, Aurelia, Appia, Flavia Zagato, Monte Carlo, HPE, Integrale, Thema 8.32 and S4 replica ( a stunning project that I hadn't seen before)

What a wonderful variety and spread across a huge age range - and the organisers seemed to like them - the Lancias came away with 3 prizes.

Well done everyone!

Well done Stan,

What an array of Lancia's outnumbering the Alfa's 11-9 on one of the best combined stands going. Great organizational skills from Stan, it's just a pity the event was not organised nor publicised as well as it should have been as the location and it's accessibility were perfect. It could easily have been twice the size and where were the likes of Ferrari, Lamborghini, Maserati, Porsche or even BMW & Audi. The asking price for admission was also too high, but hopefully next year all this can be arranged and the show can go ahead marketed properly and all the halls are filled.

Never mind, here are some snaps.

Wow - looks like that was a great line-up of cars.

To echo other sentiments, many thanks for organising it Stan. And also thanks to everyone who took their cars along. I'll try to get up to it next year.

Regards

Andy
